After attending a beautiful midnight Mass, my heart is overflowing with a sense of joy and thankfulness for all God has given me over this past year. I am thankful for all who read my rambles.
Wishing you a very Merry blessed Christmas season to you and your family and friends!!
Although today countless families will be gathering around dinner tables and Christmas trees for food and gift giving, there are other precious souls who may feel alone or left out of the festivities. I pray this profound message by an unknown author and a couple Bible verses speak to your heart and reminds us the real reason for the Christmas season. Let us rejoice and always be awake to the message of salvation by the Lord who came to dwell among us.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
“It’s sharing your gifts, not purchasing gifts;
It’s not wrapping presents, its being present
and wrapping your arms around the ones you love;
It’s not getting Christmas cards out on time,
It’s sending any card, anytime, at the right time;
It’s not having the biggest and best Christmas light display,
It’s displaying the Christ light that comes from your heart;
It’s not Santa coming down the chimney,
It’s Jesus coming down from heaven,
and giving us the gift of eternal life.”
Finally, I have to share one of my favorite Christmas songs and an artist whom I’d love to see in concert: Andrea Bocelli
Until next year,
